The BC44Pro is a precision-engineered interconnect that subtly enhances the audio chain while respecting the inherent character of the connected devices. After a 20-hour burn-in period, I evaluated its performance across different setups, and its contributions proved both consistent and refined, embodying the qualities of a top-tier interconnect.

 

FiiO M23 + FiiO K17 + SIVGA P2 Pro:

In this configuration, the stock interconnect was a basic 4.4mm cable that functioned adequately but lacked sophistication. Switching to the BC44Pro introduced a noticeable uplift in audio quality. The SIVGA P2 Pro, prized for its warm and musical profile, experienced a tighter, more articulate bass response. Low frequencies gained precision and control, delivering a punchier yet well-defined foundation that enriched dynamic passages.

The midrange took on a slightly warmer, more textured quality, lending vocals and instruments a natural richness and a hint of added depth, making them feel more immersive. Treble remained smooth and detailed, with a touch of extra airiness that enhanced the sense of space without introducing harshness. The soundstage widened subtly, improving instrument separation and creating a more three-dimensional listening experience, all while maintaining the headphone’s inherent musicality.

 

HiBy R6 III  2025 + xDuoo MT-604 + FiiO FT5:

The FiiO FT5, a planar magnetic headphone known for its balanced and detailed sound, paired exceptionally well with this stack when connected via the BC44Pro. Compared to a generic interconnect, the cable brought a refined layer of polish across the frequency spectrum. Bass response deepened slightly, with sub-bass gaining a more pronounced yet controlled presence, adding weight to the lower registers without compromising clarity or speed.

The midrange exhibited a fuller, more organic tone, enhancing the timbre of instruments and vocals with a natural warmth that felt effortlessly lifelike. Treble performance was clean and extended, with a subtle smoothing effect that tamed any potential sharpness while preserving fine details and sparkle. The floating shield design contributed to an impressively quiet background, reducing micro-interference and allowing the FT5’s wide soundstage to flourish with enhanced depth and precise imaging. This combination highlighted the cable’s ability to refine rather than redefine, letting the headphone’s strengths shine through with greater clarity and cohesion.
