ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster Review
ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster Review
Introduction:
ORIVETI is an innovative brand founded in 2015 with the mission of delivering high-fidelity, emotionally engaging audio products for daily use. Over the years, the experienced engineering and design team has released numerous acclaimed models such as the hybrid Primacy, OH300, OH500, OH700VB, and the flagship octuple-BA O400/O800 series.
The Purecaster belongs to the newly launched “bleqk” series (Basic Line Exquisite Quality Kept), sitting between the entry-level Dynabird and the bass-focused Lowmaster. It features a single 12.2 mm aluminum-magnesium alloy dynamic driver with dual-chamber acoustics, full CNC-milled aluminum shells, and one of the most effective interchangeable nozzle systems in its class, allowing the user to switch between two distinctly different yet equally refined tunings.

Design & Build Quality:
The ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster is built entirely from CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. Each shell is milled from a single solid block, resulting in robust construction with no visible glue lines or parting marks. The surface finish combines a finely brushed matte texture on the main body with a high-polish mirror section on the outer faceplate. This two-tone approach is executed consistently across both left and right units.

The faceplate features precision-machined concentric micro-grooves that create a radial pattern. Under normal lighting conditions the pattern remains subtle; under direct light it produces a controlled reflective effect. Branding (“bleqk by ORIVETI”) is laser-etched in low contrast and is only clearly visible when the shell is tilted.

The inner side of the shell is contoured with smooth, rounded edges. The nozzle is integrally machined from the same aluminum block, has a moderate length and a slight outward angle.

The interchangeable nozzles are also machined from aluminum. The silver nozzles have a polished finish and a finer mesh; the black nozzles are PVD-coated and use a different mesh/damping assembly. Thread tolerance is tight and repeatable; nozzles seat flush with no axial play. Thread pitch and knurling allow tool-free swapping in under five seconds.

The monitors are equipped with 0.78 mm dia. 2-pin sockets, which are recessed by approx. 0.8 mm. Two small vents are present: one immediately below the nozzle (pressure equalization) and one near the 2-pin area (driver back-volume ventilation).

The supplied cable is a four-core silver-plated copper design with transparent soft TPU insulation. All hardware (Y-split, chin slider, 2-pin housings and modular plugs) is metal. The modular plug system uses a threaded collar: 3.5 mm single-ended is pre-installed, 4.4 mm balanced is supplied separately. Measured microphonics are negligible when worn over-ear. Connector retention in the recessed sockets is firm and consistent.

The Purecaster comes with a four-core silver-plated copper cable that immediately stands out in its price class. The conductors are arranged in a tight, round braid and encased in a crystal-clear, exceptionally supple TPU sheath that remains flexible even in cold conditions and produces almost no microphonic noise when rubbed against clothing. Comfortable, pre-formed transparent heat-shrink ear guides are fitted directly above the 2-pin connectors, ensuring the cable drapes naturally over the ear without stiffness or memory effect. The 0.78 mm 2-pin plugs are housed in solid metal barrels with clear L/R markings on the surface.
The straight 3.5 mm single-ended plug (gold-plated) plug is housed in a robust metal barrel carrying discreet “bleqk by ORIVETI” branding, while the strain relief is thick yet flexible, offering visible protection against repeated bending. A matching 4.4 mm Pentaconn balanced plug is supplied separately and screws on via a precise threaded collar.

Overall cable quality, hardware finish, and attention to practical details are significantly above what is normally expected at this price point.

Comfort & Isolation:
Thanks to the compact dimensions, low weight, perfectly rounded edges, and smooth inner contours, the Purecaster delivers a good level of long-term comfort. I regularly used them for 5–6 hour sessions with no notable pressure or fatigue. Passive noise isolation is above average for a single dynamic-driver IEM and more than sufficient for commuting, travel, and moderately noisy offices.

The Sound:
The ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster presents a fundamentally neutral sound signature, characterized by high clarity and resolution across the frequency spectrum. The tuning features a moderate lift in the upper midrange and lower treble, contributing to a transparent and detailed character. The design includes two interchangeable nozzles that offer two distinct yet consistently balanced sound profiles, both adhering to the IEM’s core philosophy of accuracy.
The silver nozzle (pre installed) offers a brighter and more energetic presentation. It enhances the upper mids and lower treble, resulting in a more open and detail oriented sound with increased perceived “air” and sharper transient definition. The black nozzle gently moderates this region, providing a smoother transition and introducing a subtle, audible increase in mid bass warmth and overall body. The black nozzle was often the preferred choice during listening, as it consistently provided high resolution combined with comfort across various genres and playback sources.
All subsequent observations are based on approximately 150 hours of use and primarily refer to the sound with the black nozzle installed, unless specified otherwise.

Bass:
The low frequency reproduction is defined by its speed, precision, and control. Sub bass extension is deep and capable of delivering significant physical impact when demanded by the recording, but it remains strictly contained and does not interfere with the midrange frequencies. Acoustic and electric bass lines are rendered with good texture and distinct note separation. Percussion, such as kick drums, maintains a natural weight and defined attack without noticeable bloom or excessive decay.
Switching to the silver nozzle makes the bass response marginally leaner and quicker, which can enhance the perceived separation in fast or complex electronic music. However, the black nozzle’s minor addition of warmth often provides a more complete and musically satisfying foundation for acoustic instruments and most popular genres. Overall bass quantity is calibrated to a moderate, reference level that emphasizes quality, texture, and velocity over exaggerated impact. This controlled approach is best suited for listeners who value foundational support without low end dominance; those seeking a significantly heavy or visceral emphasis may find the low end somewhat reserved.

Midrange:
The midrange of the ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster is transparent, evenly balanced, and shows a natural timbre across both vocals and instruments. Vocals are placed slightly forward of center, creating an engaging but non aggressive presentation.
The lower midrange ensures that male voices retain appropriate warmth and chest weight without sounding artificially thick or boomy. Instruments like cellos and lower register piano notes possess proper fundamental body. The upper midrange provides clarity and presence; female vocals are rendered with accurate breath detail and natural extension, and instruments such as acoustic guitar and violin are delivered with defined attack and appropriate harmonic brightness. The presentation avoids shoutiness or stridency, maintaining fidelity even at high volume.
Bass frequencies remain clean, ensuring that there is no bleed into the lower midrange, and individual musical lines in dense arrangements are clearly delineated and easy to follow. This balanced handling allows lead elements and supporting harmonies to coexist without competition, making the IEM a reliable choice for diverse musical arrangements, from solo performances to large orchestral works. The only minor observation is that with specific, very analytical sources, the midrange can occasionally sound slightly reserved rather than overtly rich, a characteristic largely mitigated by the black nozzle.

Treble:
The upper frequencies are extended, detailed, and generally well controlled. Cymbals present a crisp initial attack followed by a realistic shimmer and natural decay without excessive metallic harshness or splash. Percussion transients are quick and precise. Fine details such as string harmonics and reverb tails are clearly audible and decay in a believable manner.
The silver nozzle introduces noticeable additional energy and sparkle in the upper treble. This characteristic adds perceived life and brilliance to elements such as violin sections and high frequency percussion, making it effective for classical or acoustic recordings. Nevertheless, with recordings that are already mixed brightly, this presentation can occasionally become slightly fatiguing during very long listening periods. The black nozzle maintains a smoother, more relaxed high frequency response, ensuring comfort during multi hour sessions while still retaining good extension, “air”, and good detail retrieval. Well recorded material shows minimal sibilance or sharpness with either nozzle. This measured extension avoids fatiguing peaks for sensitive listeners while providing sufficient openness to reveal subtle details in high resolution sources.

Soundstage & Imaging:
The soundstage offers a good sense of width for a single dynamic driver design, providing respectable height and moderate depth. Instrument placement is consistently precise and stable within the horizontal plane, ensuring that complex arrangements remain organized and free from congestion. The black nozzle tends to produce a slightly more cohesive and intimate overall image, whereas the silver nozzle expands the stage further and sharpens the localization cues, creating a more analytical perspective.

Comparison:
ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster versus MEZE Audio Alba:
Both the ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster and the MEZE Audio Alba are high-quality single dynamic driver IEMs with distinct sound philosophies. The Purecaster aims for adjustable neutrality and technical precision, while the Alba delivers natural tonality and organic warmth.
The Purecaster’s low frequencies are calibrated to a reference-level of speed and control, ensuring that bass impact is strictly contained without spilling into the midrange. The Alba presents bass with a focus on texture and palpable warmth, featuring a subtle lift that makes the low end sound more substantial and fun, without sacrificing control. The Alba provides a slightly more engaging, full-bodied foundation for musicality.
In the midrange, the Purecaster excels in transparency and analytical clarity, providing excellent separation and clear delineation of complex instrumental layers. The Alba offers a lush, organic, and slightly forward midrange presentation. Vocals on the Alba possess a high degree of density and natural timbre, creating a more intimate and emotionally present experience, whereas the Purecaster remains more detached and detailed.
Treble handling reflects their core tuning. The Purecaster offers adjustable brilliance: the silver nozzle provides energetic sparkle and air, while the black nozzle delivers a smoother experience. The Alba’s treble is universally smooth, highly refined, and gentle, ensuring zero fatigue and a very natural decay. The Alba sacrifices some upper-frequency extension for absolute comfort, while the Purecaster’s silver nozzle allows for superior retrieval of minute details and air.
Regarding technical performance, the Purecaster offers a superior sense of soundstage width and depth; its image is expansive, creating a realistic sense of space, particularly with the silver nozzle. The Alba’s soundstage is typically cohesive and intimate, focusing more on accurate layering and instrumental positioning within a closer, more natural sphere.

ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster versus EarAcoustic SPA-Hi End Ultra:
The ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster and the EarAcoustic SPA-Hi End Ultra are both competitive single dynamic driver IEMs that utilize their solid construction to deliver two distinct listening styles. The Purecaster is the choice for control and tonal accuracy, while the SPA-Hi End Ultra is built for excitement and dynamic impact.
The low end on the Purecaster is focused on speed and definition, resulting in bass notes that are taught and precisely contained, avoiding any thickness in the sound. The SPA-Hi End Ultra takes a different approach, offering a noticeably greater impact and substantial punch centered in the mid-bass. If you enjoy feeling the rhythm and want a fuller, weightier foundation, the SPA-Hi End Ultra delivers, but the Purecaster provides the cleaner, more nimble bass line.
The Purecaster provides a clear, transparent, and neutrally balanced midrange where voices and instruments are easy to distinguish. The SPA-Hi End Ultra’s midrange is warmer and slightly stepped back in the mix, giving primary focus to the bass and treble. This makes the Purecaster the more suitable option for music where vocal presence and instrumental clarity are paramount, while the SPA-Hi End Ultra lets the core music flow around the vocals.
A key strength of the Purecaster is its adjustable treble, which allows the user to switch between a setting that provides excellent sparkle and air (revealing more detail) and a setting that is smoother and more relaxed. The SPA-Hi End Ultra’s high frequencies are fast, lively, and energetic, supporting its vivid overall sound. While the SPA-Hi End Ultra is fun and avoids harshness, the Purecaster gives you the power to dial in the exact amount of high-frequency energy you prefer.
The Purecaster excels in creating a wide soundstage with distinct placement of instruments across the space. The SPA-Hi End Ultra also offers a spacious sound, primarily defined by its strong dynamic contrast (louds and softs). Ultimately, the Purecaster offers superior functional value with its customizable tuning system and modular cable, making it the more adaptable tool for various genres and source components.

Conclusion:
Positioned in the below $200 USD price segment, the ORIVETI bleqk Purecaster is a competitive single dynamic driver IEM. Its primary feature is the interchangeable nozzle system, which provides two distinct, user selectable tuning profiles, enabling sound balance adjustment while preserving high clarity and resolution. Construction involves a fully CNC milled aluminum chassis, ensuring high physical durability and finish consistency. Comprehensive accessories include a high quality modular cable (3.5 mm and 4.4 mm terminations) noted to be superior to many offerings in this price range.
