MEZE Audio introduces the “109 PRO PRIMAL” Headphone

Introduction:

MEZE Audio is a well known Romanian company founded by Antonio Meze in 2009 in Baia Mare that is specialized in development, design of High-End Headphones, In-Ear Monitor and Cables. MEZE Audio introduces now the PRIMAL, which is the Special Edition of the Award-Winning 109 PRO. The PRIMAL has been inspired by MEZE Audio’s infinite admiration for art and woodworking and looks stunning!

Design:

According to MEZE Audio, the PRIMAL is painstakingly crafted like all their previous headphones following the principle of “Graba strică treaba” – a Romanian expression translating to “Haste ruins the work” in English.

The processing of the walnut frame for the PRIMLA needs an enormous effort, since all the notches on its surface have been hand crafted by skilled artisans groove by groove, in order to achieve a distinctive sculptural aspect.

Afterwards, the frames are delicately sanded to ensure the smoothest feel, before having a few coats of linseed oil applied. This final touch infuses the wood with a natural, matte texture that accentuates the wood grain and restores its innate, captivating color.

This new edition also follows Meze Audio’s commitment to sustainability. The headphones are designed to be taken apart and serviced endlessly if ever needed, which can extend the life of the product beyond limit.

From cables to ear cups and beyond, every element can be replaced and upgraded. Finally, you’re not sacrificing performance for principles, either: 109 PRO PRIMAL features the same technology as the original 109 PRO, which have just been named Best Headphones 2023-2024 by the audio experts in the global EISA Awards.
