Introduction:
The AFUL Explorer is the latest addition to the In-Ear Monitor (IEM) market, featuring a three-driver hybrid setup. This setup includes a Single Dynamic Driver (DD) with 8mm Bio-Cellulose Diaphragm and two Self-Developed Wide-Frequency Response Balanced Armature (BA) drivers per side, engineered to deliver a comprehensive sound experience.
Technical Aspects of the Hybrid Design:
The Explorer’s hybrid design is built upon a foundation of 3D printed acoustic tubes and a special-shaped resonator, which work together to optimize sound delivery. The high-damping air pressure balanced system is designed to manage ear canal pressure, enhancing comfort and sound quality.
Electronic and Acoustic Engineering:
In terms of electronic engineering, the Explorer incorporates a multi-layered electronic crossover with RLC Network Frequency Division Crossover Technology. This sophisticated system ensures precise signal processing and distribution among the drivers.
Driver Technology and Sound Reproduction:
The Explorer utilizes a self-developed wide-frequency response BA driver, which contributes to consistent high-end sound reproduction. The IEM’s technical specifications include an impedance of 26Ω±10%, sensitivity of 108dB/mW, and a frequency response range of 10Hz-30kHz.
Design and Comfort:
The design of the Explorer is inspired by the cosmos, with cosmo inspired face covers that add an aesthetic appeal. The internal cavity structure is professionally designed, featuring a 3D printed cavity and a special-shaped resonator to enhance the three-frequency response.
Cable and Connectivity:
The Explorer comes with a high-purity stock cable, which is a 200-core dual-strand high-purity copper silver-plated cable. It is available with 0.78m 2-pin connectors and offers a choice between 3.5mm and 4.4mm cable termination.
