[NEWS] The New FiiO FT5 Flagship Planar Headphone

Introduction:

FiiO has released their brand new flagship headphone, the FT5 Open-Back Planar headphone. The FT5 is the first headphone of the company that is equipped with Planar Magnetic Drivers. Each driver has a 90mm large nanoscale diaphragm with a thickness of 6µm that is driven with 20 neodymium magnets per side, which have been implemented in to a sturdy magnesium alloy shell.

New Generation Planar Magnetic Driver Unit:

The FiiO FT5 features a brand new 90mm large Planar Magnetic Driver unit, which adopts a 6µm ultra-thin diaphragm with a precisely crafted micron-plated aluminium silver alloy voice coil.

The driver is produced using a nanoscale-level coating process for enhanced sound reproduction. The 6um ultra-thin diaphragm is driven by 20 (N52) neodymium magnets per side. 11 magnets are placed on the inside, while the remaining 9 magnets are located at the outer surface.

Design & Build Quality:

FiiO FT5 Planar Headphone has a lightweight and durable construction. The headphones feature an open-back design. It has been crafted using high-quality magnesium-aluminum alloy material with three-way swiveling ear cups for improved comfort as well.

The headphone has a scientifically open-back grill designed in order to control and precisely accelerate the air flow when the driver is moving. This design intended the goal of offering a much wider and deeper sense of soundstage atmosphere.

The FiiO FT5 comes with two sets of ear pads, one suede pads and one with a Pleather (protein leather) covering. The suede pads are for a more balanced sound presentation while the Pleather pads do increase the sense of clarity.

Detachable Cable & Interchangeable Plug Design:

The FiiO FT5 comes with a high-purity stock cable made using 392 cores of monocrystalline copper material. The cable has an interchangeable headphone plug design that includes 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs inside the package. The cable comes also with 1x 6.35mm adapter 1x 4-pin XLR adapter.
