FiiO Announced New FD3 & FD3 Pro Single Dynamic Driver IEM’s
FiiO is releasing a new Single Dynamic Driver IEM the FD3 and the FD3 Pro that will come with 12mm Beryllium DLC Diaphragm Dynamic Driver that will feature a similar acoustic prism and semi-open acoustic design and also an interchangeable sound tube design like the FD5.
The housing of the FD3 / FD3 Pro is made of five-axis CNC machined aluminum magnesium alloy material and features a unique celluloid panel that is covered with 2.5D film coating glass. There are two kinds of colors available, the reserved and royal Black and Gold, and the active and passionate silver.
The main difference between the FD3 and the FD3 Pro is the included cable. The cable of the FD3 Pro is upgraded to an 8-stranded one with an interchangeable plug design, which involves 3 earphone plugs, 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm.
The FD3 & FD3 Pro will be introduced at FiiO’s 2021 Summer Launch Event.

Some Features:
The outer-magnet dynamic driver of the FD3 & FD3 Pro is capable of 1.5 Tesla magnetic flux. At any expense FiiO has selected DLC material for the whole diaphragm to finish a powerful dynamic driver. The diaphragm quality decides both resolution and extension capacities of high frequencies- vibrations by high-speed movement of the diaphragm will lead to large distortion, so treble will be sharp and rough.
The semi-open acoustic design helps to quickly relieve air pressure in the ear canal, thus making for natural, comfortable sound performance even for long listening sessions.
The cavity with an acoustic prism was arranged to enhance the diffusion of treble waves, adjust the phase, effectively change and precisely control the way sound waves travel through the FD3/FD3 Pro, and ensure audio phases are correct.
The sound tube of the FD3/FD3 Pro is designed interchangeably. It has two kinds of diameter included in the package. Choose the small inner diameter tube (red) for robust bass and pick the large inner diameter tube (black) for detailed treble.
The standard cable of the FD3 is a four-stand high-purity monocrystalline copper one, whose wires all come from Taiwan Neotech in China, with a 120-core Litz braided structure, expanded MMCX connector, and classic left blue and right red unit markers. While for the FD3 Pro, it is included with an 8-stranded 152-core Litz monocrystalline silver-plated copper cable with interchangeable 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm earphone plugs.
Included in the package is a specially designed MMCX assist tool and the waterproof carrying case the HB1. By using it, the MMCX connector can be easily detached from the cable.
