Tanchjim Prism: The New Flaghip Triple Hybrid Driver IEM

Tanchjim showcased their latest flagship IEMs known as Prism at the Beijing Asia Hotel Conference in 2021. Today, Tanchjim Prism is officially launched internationally with a price tag of 599.99$. The flagship Universal IEM is a well-crafted set that has ultimate looks with beautiful hand-crafted sapphire glass face covers. The Pism comes with a triple drivers configuration on each earpice consisting of a DTM4 Dynamic Driver and composite dual BA from  SONION. Based on Helm holt resonant cavity principle, the rear cavity in Prism adopts an acoustic labyrinth pattern that absorbs the reflected frequencies to produce a more natural sound.

Driver Configuration:

Tanchjim has designed its flagship Prism IEM with a triple driver hybrid configuration. The pair features a powerful dynamic driver unit with fourth-generation DMT technology. This DD is paired with a composite dual Balanced Armature driver from Sonion. The drivers are arranged in frequency division calculated by equivalent analysis ensuring both kinds of drivers connect smoothly and provide their peak performance at all times.

Handcrafted Sapphire Glass Faceplate:

Prism features an handcrafted sapphire glass faceplate cover and premium stainless steel cavities. The sapphire glass here is made by professional craftsmen with hand-polishing and grinding techniques. The underlying pattern here is revealed by electroplating and etching.

Vibration Suppression Metamaterial Rear Cavity Design:

Tanchjim has designed the acoustic cavity with metamaterial back-cavity based on Helmholtz resonant cavity principle. It effectively absorbs the reflected noise inside the cavity and presents the users with a pure sound response. Prism cavities also feature a guided leakage channel specially designed for matching the acoustic metamaterial vibration suppression cavity. The sound pressure of the Isoplane in the inner cavity is optimized by appropriately increasing the atmosphere flux.

Brand-new Filter Architecture:

The ear nozzle features an Italian SAATI filter and a Nano-sized hydrophobic dust-proof coating. It effectively protects the pair from steam and dust from entering and damaging the cavity.

High-Purity Cable:

Tanchjim has designed a high-purity cable that is composed of Single-Crystal Silver-Plated Copper and Oxygen-Free Copper cores. The Y-Split has a shining Austrian Crystal that complements the design and look of the pair. This cable has 2-pin 0.78mm connectors for an easy and stable connection with the earpieces and a 3.5mm termination plug.
