Final Expands A-Series with the Launch of the A2000 Wired In-Ear Monitors

Final Audio, the renowned Japanese high-end audio manufacturer, has officially announced the launch of the A2000. This new wired in-ear monitor (IEM) aims to offer high-fidelity sound, focusing on clarity and low-end response, at a more accessible price point.

Following the success of its predecessors in the A-series, the A2000 is positioned as a high-performance entry-level model. It incorporates technical advancements originally developed for the brand’s flagship monitors, specifically targeting a balance between analytical detail and musical energy.

In-House “f-Core DU” Dynamic Driver:

At the center of the A2000 is a 6mm “f-Core DU” dynamic driver. Unlike many manufacturers that source third-party components, Final has engineered every element of this driver in-house, from the diaphragm to the production machinery itself.

To improve transient response and reduce distortion, the driver utilizes a 30μm CCAW (Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire) voice coil. Furthermore, a brass front housing is employed to minimize magnetic interference, ensuring that the driver maintains uniform performance across the frequency range.

New Sound Evaluation Methodology:

The development of the A2000 utilized a new sound-quality evaluation methodology first established during the creation of the flagship A10000. Rather than focusing strictly on traditional laboratory sound-pressure testing, Final’s engineers analyzed how listeners perceive audio in real-world environments. This approach considers variables such as recording quality and different volume levels, resulting in a sound signature described as natural and controlled for everyday use.

Ergonomic Design and Build:

The A2000 adopts the “three-point support” housing design seen in Final’s premium B-series. This shape is intended to distribute pressure evenly across the ear pocket, eartip, and tragus, providing a secure fit that mimics the comfort of a custom-molded monitor.

The aesthetic features a two-tone black and vivid blue finish. The housing is treated with a “shibo” coating, a textured surface inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship which is highly resistant to fingerprints and scratches.

Technical Specifications & Accessories:

The A2000 features a detachable 2-pin 0.78mm connector system, allowing for cable replacements or upgrades. It comes bundled with a high-quality OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cable designed to minimize microphonics (cable noise).
